Popular Boy Names in 2020
I posted a question box on my Instagram stories asking for Popular Boy Names and I got HUNDREDS, plus several requests for me to share! A lot of you are pregnant with baby boys too and are having a hard time choosing a name. Rightfully so — it’s a big decision!!
I am 95% sure that Ethan and I have already chosen the name we want for our little guy, but I wanted to get some suggestions just in case to make sure there wasn’t anything else that I loved even more. ; ) Yes, we will most likely share his name before he arrives! Once we are totally sure I will let you all know!
Here you go! I apologize that there are probably repeats because a lot of them were suggested more than once, but I couldn’t remember if I already added them or not LOL. Pregnancy brain is real.
I tried to categorize them but some of them kinda overlapped too. I hope this is helpful!

I hope this list of Popular Boy Names helps you find the perfect name for your little guy on the way, or future baby boy! : ) I loved reading through these for more inspiration! A few of you suggested the one we are leaning toward!! Can’t wait to share it with you. 🙂
Thanks for reading!
Shanna
Some great names!!!
Lots of good options!!! 🙂
Just remember that a popular name today results with a whole roomful of kids with the same or similar names in the classroom in about 5 years. And a whole bunch across the nation. Another consideration is odd spellings of more traditional banes. Unless you want your child to be spelling the name to everyone forevermore, think twice. And a cutesy name or rhyming with the last name or something like Autumn Leaves can leave a child vulnerable to teasing. I’m not trying to discourage anyone from naming your child whatever is your choice. These are just things to consider coming from a teacher of 27 years who saw all manner of names come and go over the years.
Haha, I am with you there! I definitely wouldn’t use a crazy spelling that would cause my child issues his whole life — even “Shanna” has been hard enough for most people throughout my life lol and it’s spelled exactly how it sounds! Don’t worry; we aren’t going with anything crazy, but also not SUPER common. ; ) A good happy medium, in my opinion!!
