Best Blackstone Griddle Recipes
We have had a Blackstone Griddle for about a year now and we absolutely love it! Our goal is to get a little more adventurous and try some new recipes on it here in the near future. I often get questions about our favorite things to cook on our griddle, so I am sharing some of the Best Blackstone Griddle Recipes in this post!
I am also including a new recipe Ethan and I created recently – Spinach Tomato Tortellini – as well as some other meals we have made and loved on our Blackstone in the past!
If you have a Blackstone Griddle and any favorite, go-to recipes that you love to make on it, please drop it in the comments!!
which blackstone griddle do you have?
You can find the exact Blackstone Griddle we have at the link below. We feel that this is a perfect size! Not too big and not too small. Juuuust right. ; ) (This is a commissionable Amazon affiliate link.)
Blackstone griddle accessories
There are a ton of accessories you can purchase to go along with your Blackstone griddle. The set I’m linking below is super affordable and has *almost* everything you could want and need for your griddle.
Another accessory that Ethan has loved is this little tool for making smash burgers (which I’m sharing more about later in this post). This results in a perfect thin patty like you would get at a restaurant!
We have this griddle cover to protect our Blackstone, even though it now lives in our garage. Ethan says you should keep it in the garage or somewhere covered if possible to help prevent it from rusting.
If you are local to Kansas City, check out KC Grilling Company store in Olathe, KS. They also sell Blackstone Griddles, smokers and tons of other accessories, seasonings and more.
Blackstone griddle recipes: fajitas & quesadillas
One of the meals we love to make on the Blackstone is fajitas. It’s so easy and quick to make.
We have made chicken fajitas but you could also do steak, shrimp, whatever you like! Thinly slice some bell peppers and onions and add some Mexican seasonings (chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, etc.) to your meat & veggies. Cook on the Blackstone until meat is cooked through, veggies are tender crisp and serve on top of soft tortillas with fresh greens, avocado, and salsa. Enjoy!
Check out this video of quesadillas we made on the Blackstone here – so good!
Blackstone griddle recipes: stir fry vegetables
I don’t have a recipe for this, but we have cooked various veggies, such as zucchini, squash, bell peppers and onion, etc. on the Blackstone with oil and simple spices like salt, pepper and garlic powder, alongside chicken (also cooked on the Blackstone) and rice and it was SO good. I’ll try to create an actual recipe to share, but it’s super simple and so many possible variations you could do!
I know a lot of people love to make chicken fried rice with scrambled eggs mixed in, which we also need to try!
Blackstone griddle recipes: breakfast ideas
When we first got our Blackstone and I was asking my audience on Instagram what their favorite thing to make on their griddle was, tons of people said breakfast!
You can make scrambled eggs, fried eggs, French toast, pancakes, hashbrowns — ALL the breakfast things! And you can even do it all at once since there is so much room! The possibilities are endless.
On Mother’s Day Ethan made us some scrambled eggs, bacon and French toast on the Blackstone and it was delicious. Check out my recipe for cream cheese & jam stuffed French toast!
Blackstone griddle recipes: smashburgers
Like I mentioned above, smash burgers have been one of our go-to Blackstone recipes. I don’t know what it is, but burgers just taste *that* much better after you use this little gadget. Maybe it’s because Ethan usually adds a decent amount of butter, too… ; )
Either way, SO good. Make smash burgers on the Blackstone and then whip up my sweet potato fries and air fryer Brussels sprouts to go with it. YUM. Or this healthy summer pasta salad would be perfect for feeding a crowd for summer parties.
new Blackstone recipe: spinach tomato chicken tortellini
Our newest Blackstone Griddle recipe creation: Spinach Tomato Chicken Tortellini! Ethan is in a Facebook group with fellow Blackstone owners who are often sharing recipe ideas, and he kept coming across recipes for tortellini. We were intrigued, so we decided to give it a shot!
We saw tons of possible variations, but decided to go with a summery edition with fresh spinach, tomatoes, and onions, because we love this flavor combo, and typically have most of the ingredients we needed to make it happen!
can I make this recipe if I don’t have a Blackstone griddle?
Absolutely! The Blackstone is essentially just a massive griddle, so it’s definitely easier to cook large quantities of food at once, but you can definitely make this dish on a large griddle pan or skillet on your stovetop if needed.
Blackstone Spinach Tomato Chicken Tortellini: ingredients
Here’s what you need for this delicious recipe! I grabbed all of the ingredients from ALDI.
- Herb Chicken Tortellini
- Marinara Sauce
- Fresh baby spinach
- Minced garlic
- Onions
- Salad tomatoes
- Fresh Parmesan and Mozzarella cheese
- Avocado oil
- Salt & pepper + spices
how to make Blackstone spinach tomato chicken tortellini
First, wash produce and thinly slice onions. Set aside.
Bring a pot of water to a boil and add tortellini. Cook according to package instructions. (We saw a bunch of recipes for Tortellini on the Blackstone and some said to cook the tortellini in advance, while others used frozen tortellini and cooked it on the griddle straight from frozen. We used fresh tortellini and decided to go ahead and cook it first since it only takes a few minutes. I’m sure either one would be fine.)
While you are bringing water to a boil, preheat your Blackstone griddle to medium heat.
Once tortellini is cooked, drain using a strainer.
Add 1-2 Tbsp of avocado oil to the preheated Blackstone, and add sliced onions. Season with salt and pepper, to taste, and use spatulas to toss and coat well with oil and spices. Add minced garlic and continue to stir and cook.
After a few minutes, when onion is translucent, add cooked tortellini. Use spatulas to continue to spread tortellini out and toss to brown the pasta a bit on the griddle. Make a large hole in the middle of the mixture and add salad tomatoes. Cook for a few more minutes, then add fresh baby spinach and a little more avocado oil as needed. Continue to mix in with other ingredients and cook until spinach is wilted down.
Next, add fresh Parmesan, then about 12 oz of marinara sauce, and additional salt, pepper, Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Continue to toss and cook well until all veggies are incorporated and tomatoes are lightly browned and softened.
Transfer pasta and veggie mixture to a pan, then serve hot with additional fresh Parmesan and marinara sauce on top, if desired. Enjoy!
